Reflecting Wave

Oenone’s work depicts abstract water paintings in mixed media on canvas and wooden panels. The panels are cut to resemble water cascading or waves breaking. Oenone’s desire to break out of the canvas box has resulted in imaginative and striking creations that evoke movement and power.

Oenone has perfected a unique method of hand painting with multiple paint pourings. The mixed media collage of glass beads and mirrors create texture, and augments the resin finish that produces an incredibly lustrous sheen.

Oenone’s commitment to conservation has guided her art for over thirty years. Her early paintings of wildlife have been exhibited on four continents and her recent water paintings are the sum of her experience, artistic creativity, and concern for our planet.
